WAVES
I created an
interactive meditative art piece. Soft
tactile yarns were crocheted together to create “waves” of the ocean. The waves were woven onto 18 gauge jewelry
wire and attached to a metal frame. The yarn
can be manipulated along the wire from side to side, and each wire wave can be
adjusted up, down, forward or back, thereby creating a constantly changing
seascape. It will sit on an easel next
to a sound spa relaxation machine that plays the sound of ocean waves.
