Bad Habits

Barito river is the longest  and largest river in South Borneo, that ends up into Java Sea.

This river is having heavy metal and bacteria contamination, which triggers many diseases to the locals. Contamination occurs because of the gold and coal mine waste and the locals’ daily habits including littering to the water and using the river as their toilets although knowing that their lives depend on the water itself.

With this project, I hope that we can look back and think of our actions. Who knows that we are actually the one who causes the damages to our water?

Beautiful piece - both your handcraft and your written work. Sad reminder of our ability to destroy.
